We are a civic service social club. We design, fill and maintain container gardens at the Cook Library, Cook Mansion, Civic Center, and train station. We planted and maintain a memorial butterfly garden by the Civic Center. In the spring, we plant containers with seniors, and all members work on and sell tickets for our fundraiser the Hidden Gems Garden Walk (4th Saturday in June). We sponsor scholarships for area students studying in a horticulture-environmental related field.

We meet the first Wednesday of each month during the day in members' homes. March - December, we meet and learn about an aspect of gardening through a presentation; a creative, hands-on project; or a field trip. Each meeting includes a meal prepared by a small team of members; all members participate in hostessing twice a year.

Qualifications: an enthusiasm for gardening, a desire to learn, and a willingness to share these experiences with a great group of women.
